Pembatas Arus Urutan Nol Pada Sistem Distribusi Kampus 220/380 Volt Menggunakan Pengendali Thyristor

Wednesday, August 1, 2012

Power distribution systems in campus areas commonly consist of many feeders. The system uses the low voltage 220/ 380 V, 3 phases with 3 wires. The sekunder winding of the transformer is connected Y and completed by NGR (Neutral Grounding Resistor) to limit the ground fault current. When a short circuit of single phase to ground is occured, the ground fault current can be higher than the NGR capacity.

Because of the capacitance of feeders. It is dangerous to NGR and other components in the system. This research proposes a limiter zero sequence current caused by line discharging of wire capacitance. The limiter uses Peterson coil that reactance can be controlled by thyristor that depending on how much the grounding current. This system can reduce the transient time as 0.03 second compered to the Peterson coil without the control system.
